July DAISY Award Winner – Cassidy Hale

Our July DAISY Award was presented to Cassidy Hale, an RN in the GI department. Cassidy was nominated by a colleague after she watched Cassidy go above and beyond for one of her patients. The patient was worried about her husband having food to eat while she was in the hospital. Cassidy suggested he could order a food delivery, but the patient stated they could not afford it.

After Cassidy’s shift was over, she drove to the patient’s house and brought food to her elderly husband so he could eat while the patient recovered. The nominator stated that Cassidy exhibited compassion and courage to go out of her way to help someone in need.
