Congratulations to Regional’s First FLAME Award Winner, Vickie Rutherford!

The recipient of the hospital’s first FLAME Award is Vickie Rutherford, a housekeeper on 8 North. Vickie was nominated by hospital administration and her peers for routinely going above and beyond her assigned duties. In particular, Vickie recently took special interest in a patient who was participating in Regional’s intravenous drug abuse program. Through Vickie’s friendship – including having lunch with the patient in the cafeteria each day – the patient successfully completed the program and agreed to continued treatment after discharge. Members of the Patient Family Partnership Council joined hospital administration to recognize Vickie at her department huddle in late July. Congratulations, Vickie!
