Vickie Rutherford
Please note: Vickie was awarded the FLAME award before COVID-19 mask guidelines were in place. Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center still requires all staff and visitors to wear a mask in the hospital.

Vickie Rutherford, a housekeeper on 2N, received the Fort Sanders Regional FLAME award and is our first two-time recipient! Vickie was nominated by a fellow staff member on 2N who noticed her hard work and positive impact on patients. The staff member overheard Vickie when she interacted with patients while she was cleaning rooms and said that Vickie’s pleasantness and willingness to listen made a real impact on their day. Vickie received multiple nominations for her positive attitude, contagious smile, efficiency, willingness to help and exceptional job performance. As her nominator said, “Vickie is such an asset to the cardiology unit, and we appreciate her so much!”

The FLAME Award was created by FSRMC’s Patient Family Partnership Council in 2018 to recognize our non-nurse employees who have gone above and beyond to improve the hospital experience for our patients and their family members. To nominate an extraordinary staff member, click here.
