- About Us
Like many other professions, some of our staff often work non-traditional schedules or find themselves caring for their patients in one way or another long after they’ve left the hospital. Recently, Pat Ragland, a case manager, went above and beyond for a patient even when the patient’s needs called for extra work on the weekend. One of Pat’s patients was scheduled to be discharged and couldn’t travel to pick up their medication or have the medication delivered because the patient’s pharmacy doesn’t deliver on weekends. Pat took it upon herself to drive to the pharmacy, pick up the medication and personally deliver it to the patient so they could be discharged home. Pat’s act of kindness not only helped her patient get the medication they needed but also helped free a hospital bed for another patient in need. Pat’s nominator adds, “Pat never considers herself off-duty and always goes beyond the extra mile for the patient and the facility.”
