FLAME Award Winner – Niki Day

Going above and beyond is a common practice for our team, including those in our case management department. Our most recent FLAME award winner Niki Day is a social worker who went beyond her typical job to help a patient in need. Niki’s nominator is a coworker who was helping a patient when she discovered the patient needed social services. Niki stepped up to help this patient when she could have easily passed the issue off to a different group. She spent extended time with this patient to connect her with the resources she needed to safely get the care and support she would need even after leaving the hospital. Niki’s nominator said she did so without complaint while being kind, caring and supportive of the patient.
