Emergency nurses possess a unique set of traits that make them an invaluable part of our team at Fort Sanders Regional. These resourceful men and women stand on the front lines of emergency care and provide care to patients on their worst days. Wednesday, October 11 marks Emergency Nurses Day, and we salute our emergency nurses for their dedication to saving lives.
Regional’s Linn Vaughn went from stay-at-home mom to registered nurse in the emergency department – read more about her here:
Where are you from?
How long have you worked at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center?
Tell us a little bit about your job at Fort Sanders Regional.
In the emergency room I see a lot of very sick patients. It is very fulfilling to put my patients first.
What do you love most about your job?
I didn’t go to nursing school until I was 40 years old. Before that I was a stay-at-home mom for several years. I started to feel a calling to do something outside the home and follow a dream to take care of patients.
If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?
If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
