Emergency Nurses Day

Emergency nurses possess a unique set of traits that make them an invaluable part of our team at Fort Sanders Regional. These resourceful men and women stand on the front lines of emergency care and provide care to patients on their worst days. Wednesday, October 11 marks Emergency Nurses Day, and we salute our emergency nurses for their dedication to saving lives.

How long have you worked at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center?
6 years

Tell us a little bit about your job at Fort Sanders Regional.
In the emergency room I see a lot of very sick patients. It is very fulfilling to put my patients first. 

What do you love most about your job?
I didn’t go to nursing school until I was 40 years old. Before that I was a stay-at-home mom for several years. I started to feel a calling to do something outside the home and follow a dream to take care of patients.

If you could eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
