November DAISY Award Winner: Jennifer Biggs

Award presentations have resumed at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, and we’re excited to kick them off by congratulating one of our two November 2020 DAISY Award winners: Jennifer Biggs, RN! Jennifer, a nurse in our complex medicine unit, was nominated by a coworker for exhibiting her compassion for her patients. One of Jennifer’s patients was in the hospital on his anniversary and unable to get his wife flowers—a yearly tradition between the patient and his wife. Jennifer took it upon herself to order flowers and have them delivered to her patient’s wife as a surprise. Seemingly small gestures such as this make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Thank you for taking the extra time and effort to positively impact this patient’s life, Jennifer!
