August DAISY Award Winner – Erin Lyons and Carrie Jinks

Posted on November 5, 2018 in Daisy Award Recipients

Erin Lyons and Carrie Jinks, RNs in Regional’s cardiovascular critical care unit, are the recipients of the August DAISY Award. The patient and his wife wrote that when his heart flat lined twice during his stay at Fort Sanders Regional, both nurses demonstrated compassion during a very worrying time. The patient noted that Erin and Carrie both took the time to listen to all of his concerns and went above and beyond to accommodate his wife while she stayed by his side. The nominators called Erin and Carrie extraordinary nurses who are deserving of the DAISY Award, and we are proud to present them with this honor.
