October DAISY Award Winner – Ashley Bowden

Our October DAISY Award winner Ashley Bowden knows that every impression counts when it comes to patient care. Ashley is a nurse in our day surgery department who made a real impact on one of her recent patients and the patient’s daughter, who nominated her for this award. This was the second time Ashley had cared for this patient, and both times she ensured her patient had everything she needed. She even took extra care to gently remove tape from the patient’s hands and arms so she didn’t accidentally rip the patient’s delicate skin. Her nominator said, “Ashley really does take care of my mom like she’s her own. We spend a lot of time with doctors so we know excellent when we see it. Ashely is that in spades.”
