Orthopedic Surgery
Orthopedic surgeons are physicians who have received additional training and specialize in the surgical and non-surgical correction of ailments associated with the musculoskeletal system (i.e. joints, broken bones, and congenital diseases.) Orthopedic physicians can also choose to sub-specialize in any of the following areas:
- Hand surgery
- Shoulder and elbow surgery
- Total joint reconstruction
- Pediatric orthopedics
- Foot and ankle surgery
- Spinal disk fusions
- Musculoskeletal oncology
- Surgical sports medicine
- Orthopedic trauma
