Endocrinology
The endocrine system secretes and regulates the hormones released within our bodies. Hormones are molecules in the body that send messages from one type of cell to another usually via the blood. Endocrinologists are specialists who focus on helping patients who are experiencing medical issues associated with the abnormal release and/or affect of hormones.
